Ludovico Ariosto composed "Orlando Furioso", which's plot is about Roland, losing his wits for a young woman. His friend Astolfo wanted to find it back, and he had to fly to the moon by his winged horse.

And then I found them finally a lot of bottles closed indeed
Containing fluid like-vanishing men's wits
The biggest one had an old engraving
Heavy and dirty i had to clean it

“Wits of Roland" it is declaimed, I brought with me
I ran quickly to the cart, and the cart ran to the Earth
